J Robert’s view: good value close to the City of London – helpful attentive staff

I stayed in the middle of February 2007 with Jonny (our 14 year old) in a studio apartment with twin sofa bed (two single mattresses with firm metal frame underneath). Part of the building is in the process of being refurbished – should be finished in the summer. We saw an example of how the refurbished apartments will look – seems nice. Barbican underground station is just along the road so is a Tesco Supermarket (open 24 hours) - we bought breakfast there for the following morning. We had dinner at Pizza Express approx 100 metres away - try the garlic dough balls, yum!.
